School Year
2024 - 2025
The IT Girls Foundation’s dynamic STEM curriculum empowers young girls through hands-on learning, creativity, and collaboration across a variety of engaging topics. This school year, students were introduced to project management, financial literacy, personal branding, and teamwork through interactive activities like event planning, budgeting with jelly beans, and building vision boards. They explored key STEM concepts through fun experiments and challenges—creating lemon volcanoes, designing IoT-enabled smart objects, constructing bridges and catapults, and building lunar landers to understand structural, electrical, and aerospace engineering. The program also emphasizes digital citizenship and cybersecurity, encouraging safe and responsible online behavior. Students delved into robotics and coding, using KiwiCo Robot Crawlers and Sphero robots, to explore friction, problem-solving, and programming skills. The semester culminated in a celebratory field trip to the Computer Museum of America where they explored history and the future of technology.
